Value Lists

Value lists contain master data information like plant codes. They can be integrated into the validations to make sure that the message content is as correct as its composition.

Creating values for a value list

Prerequisite
  • Your account has the role of a Tenant Owner or Tenant Administrator.
Steps
  1. If necessary: Create a new value list as described in the chapter “Creating a new value list”.
  2. Click on the button with the pen at the right side of the list entry in the value lists view.

    • “Value” is an allowed value for the list, e.g., a plant code or a country code.
    • The descriptions are optional fields to add more information about the value.
    • Negative values are not allowed but often set by the data senders. Since they are assigned to the correct value, the data sender will be informed about how to replace them. Example: “PCE” should be used instead of “PCS” or “pieces”.
  4. Click on the button “Create Value” as part of the box with the same name.
  5. If you want to rework an existing value, click on the entry in the list. The value is loaded into the box in the lower left corner. Once you are done with the rework, click on the button “Update Value”.
  6. When you are content with the created entries, click on the button “Submit” in the lower middle of the screen.
